Identify available housing and assist the interns in securing housing;

Pay round-trip travel expenses for the interns;

Conduct an orientation prior to program initiation;

Make bi-weekly payments of stipends based on academic classification;

Provide training activities designed to enhance the intern’s professional and personal development, including enhancing their interests in career opportunities related to the agency’s mission.

Monitor work performance of interns throughout their internship;

Develop evaluation tools designed to assess the intern’s performance and the internship program;

Provide recognition to interns who complete the program;

Submit a final report to the sponsoring agency.
